“In my art-making practice, I explore themes related to environment, nature, pattern, and place. I make photographs constructed from the thousands of snapshots that I take while walking in the woods. Bearing witness to haphazard wonders, this activity of taking pictures as I walk makes for a visual diary that illuminates my position within the natural world while documenting changing evidence of the ordinary and the astonishing. As these photographs are pieced together, complex patterns take form and a personal, arbitrary time chart is revealed.”

In addition to being a fine art photographer, Lisa has an extensive background as a scenic artist and designer. Her work and clients include the Metropolitan Opera, Broadway productions, feature film and TV productions including Saturday Night Live. She has been Resident Scenic Artist at The Julliard School and Yale School of Drama. She has had an arts business with clients including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rolling Stone Offices and The New Yorker Offices among many others.
